An Open Letter from Patrick Mahomes to the Team, Fans, and the Kansas City Chiefs Community.
To my teammates, coaches, the Chiefs organization, and the greatest fans in the world,
I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. What we’ve built together here in Kansas City is something truly special, and I’m honored to be a part of it. As a kid, I dreamt of playing in the NFL, but never could I have imagined the incredible journey I would take with all of you.
To my teammates—what we do on the field isn’t just about talent; it’s about heart, trust, and sacrifice. Every game, every practice, every moment spent pushing each other to be better is a testament to the bond we share. You all make me a better player, and I’m so grateful to have the privilege of stepping onto that field with you every Sunday. Whether we’re in the locker room, on the sidelines, or on the field, we’re a family—and together, there’s no challenge too great for us to overcome.
To Coach Reid and the entire coaching staff, thank you for believing in me, for pushing me to be my best, and for giving me the guidance to become the player I am today. I’ve learned so much from all of you, not just about football but about life. The culture you’ve built here is one of greatness, and I’m proud to be a part of it.
To the Chiefs organization, thank you for your unwavering support. From the front office to the staff behind the scenes, your dedication ensures that we can focus on what matters most—winning and representing this amazing community. I’m beyond grateful to be able to wear the red and gold every game, and I promise to give everything I have to continue making you proud.
And finally, to the fans—the heart and soul of this team. You are what makes this city and this organization so unique. The energy you bring, the love and passion you have for the Chiefs, it’s unmatched. Whether we’re winning or facing adversity, you’ve stood by us, and for that, we thank you. Your commitment to this team fuels our desire to give you everything we have, every game.
