This weekend, an offensive lineman transferring from the SEC to Arkansas is scheduled to visit.
After registering on the NCAA transfer portal on Monday, Addison Nichols, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman from Tennessee, is anticipated to arrive in Fayetteville late on Friday night and depart on Sunday.
According to Pro Football Focus, Nichols, who is 6 feet 5 inches and 327 pounds, participated in every game during the 2023 regular season for the Vols and had an overall offensive rating of 61.3. In 2022, he participated in two games as a freshman as well.
He can play both guard and center.
Rated as high as the No. 8 interior offensive lineman in the country by 247 Sports and the No. 111 overall prospect by ESPN, he was a unanimous 4-star recruit.
As a senior at Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia in 2022, he first chose the Vols over offers from Florida, Ohio State, Georgia, Southern Cal, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, and other schools. Nichols still qualifies for three more years.
