having failed to win a single game in 2024. The loss to Forest is also West Ham’s third consecutive Premier League
defeat without a goal.

defeat. Following the contest, the Scot offered a simple message: be careful what you wish for.
“Maybe they’ve had managers who excite them more, but the one who’s sitting here wins more,” Moyes said,
referring to the fact that he has the best victory percentage of any West Ham manager in history.
On the ‘Moyes Out’ banners, the former Manchester United manager responded: “I’m extremely upset that we didn’t
win tonight, as well as a handful of other results. But don’t forget the excellent results, or the wins this season.
“We are in a strong position [ninth in the table], whereas we were near the bottom last season. Only three years ago,
we were Nottingham Forest, struggling for relegation. “We’ve come a long way since then.”
Some critics believe Moyes has lost the Irons dressing room, but he opted to laud his players despite another setback,
insisting they performed admirably. “I thought the players responded incredibly well, they showed character, a lot of
courage at different times of the game,” the 60-year-old said.
“It was a tough Premier League match. We played well through the thirds, but we suffered in the last third, making
terrible decisions in poor scoring possibilities. The players did an excellent job.
