Green Bay, Wisconsin – To win a Super Bowl, you need a really good quarterback, a head coach who can call the correct plays and push the proper buttons, and a general manager who has an eye for talent and the courage to make tough decisions. The Green Bay Packers have all three in Jordan Love, Matt LaFleur, and Brian Gutekunst, which is why they are poised for another long run as championship contenders.

The Packers overcame a 2-5 start and two disappointing losses in December to secure an improbable postseason position. The Packers were not satisfied with merely making the playoffs; they demolished the Cowboys in the wild-card round and were on the verge of upsetting the 49ers in the divisional round.
“As disappointing as the loss was, I still believe the season was a success,” Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy wrote in his monthly Murphy Takes 5 piece on Packers.com.
Murphy highlighted that Love, the first-year starting quarterback, was surrounded by the NFL’s youngest roster. Following an uneven first half of the season, Love completed the year “playing at a very high level.” With his eighth 100-plus passer rating performance in nine games versus Dallas, the Packers became the youngest club to win a playoff game since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.
“We feel confident that Jordan is our quarterback of the future,” Murphy said, reiterating Gutekunst’s remarks during his season-ending news conference.
And with good reason. During the first nine games, Love finished second-to-last in completion %, bottom in interceptions, and 29th in passer rating. During the final eight games, Love finished second in completion %, first in interceptions, and second in rating.
