The Wolverines, as they have all year, revealed their injury report two hours before kickoff, and, as with Alabama,

practically all hands appear to be on deck for the season’s biggest game.

Rotational defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny was hurt in the Rose Bowl and will not play against the Huskies. Cole

Cabana, a freshman running back, is likewise not available.

Michigan football had a bad start Monday against Alabama, which was aggravated by an early injury.

Rayshaun Benny, a defensive lineman, went down in the first quarter against the Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl. He

was ultimately taken off the field but was unable to put any pressure on his right leg.

Two plays later, Alabama attacked the middle of the Michigan defense, with running back Jase McClellan scoring a

34-yard touchdown to put Alabama up. This season, Benny made 27 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and had a sack for

the nation’s top defense.

Benny, a redshirt sophomore, plays in a defensive front that rotates frequently throughout the game. While Mason

Graham and Kris Jenkins receive the most attention, Benny is also an important member of their defensive front.

Benny sustained a right leg injury and was helped off the field against Alabama. It is unclear whether he will play in

Monday’s Rose Bowl.
