AUSTIN – The 2024 college football Early Signing Period has begun, and the Texas Longhorns hope to end the cycle strong by signing each of their top-five recruits to letters of intent.

A number of five-star talents are anticipated to sign on Wednesday, including top edge rusher Colin Simmons, offensive tackle Brandon Baker, wide receiver Ryan Wingo, safety Xavier Filsaime, four-star prospects Kobe Black, Jerrick Gibson, Aeryn Hampton, and Wardell Mack, among others.

Texas will also be attempting to sign other prominent transfers, including Andrew Mukuba, Matthew Golden, and Trey Moore.

AUSTIN, Texas— Wednesday was early National Signing Day for the 2024 class, and the Texas Longhorns football team signed several high-profile prospects from across the country.

The Longhorns signed 12 prospects presently listed in the ESPN 300, as well as nine more incoming freshmen and two highly sought-after transfers.

Here are the incoming freshmen that formally signed National Letters of Intent for the Longhorns on Wednesday, ranked according to the 2024 ESPN 300 list. Players from Texas and their high schools are highlighted in bold.

The Longhorns also signed two notable transfer players: former Houston wide receiver Matthew Golden and former Clemson defensive back Andrew Mukuba.

The fresh crop of Longhorns will enter the Forty Acres in 2024, hoping to join a defending national champion as the 2023 Longhorns prepare to compete in the College Football Playoff.
