SAD NEWS: Baltimore’s top player is accused of…

Kyle Hamilton, a Baltimore Ravens safety, was fined for his behavior in last Sunday’s win over the Tennessee Titans.

Hamilton was penalized for a blow to the head of Titans wide receiver Chris Moore, which resulted in the safety’s ejection from the game. Moore was shocked and shaky following the incident and needed assistance getting to the locker room. When Hamilton was removed from the game, he was very unhappy on the sidelines, clearly disagreeing with the decision.

The fine for unnecessary roughness was $20,524, and the league listed a helmet-to-helmet hit as the cause.

He concluded the game with only one tackle and no other statistics, his poorest performance in an otherwise strong start to the season. Following his ejection, there was some talk that he would face a suspension for hitting a defenseless receiver in the head. However, Hamilton’s only punishment is a fine.

In six games, he’s made 25 tackles, four for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, and two passes defended. Hamilton has been flying about the field on defense for the Ravens, finally demonstrating the skill for which they selected him with the 14th overall choice in the 2022 Draft from Notre Dame.

Hamilton will be available on Sunday, when Baltimore faces the 5-1 Detroit Lions and their explosive passing offense. The Lions have the fourth-highest passing yards per game in the league at 259.5.
