The Packers dismissed 32 players on Tuesday, but several will return to Green Bay on the practice squad beginning

Are the Packers really doing this thing all over again?

According to SI.com’s Bill Huber, the Packers have signed edge rusher Keshawn Banks to their practice squad.

Banks, an undrafted free agent from San Diego State, recorded two pressures and five stops in 70 snaps this

preseason. His total defensive grade was the fifth-best in the Packers’ three preseason games, and his five stops rated

second on the team, according to PFF.

Kadeem Telfort

According to Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com, the Packers have signed tight end Austin Allen to their practice squad.

Allen (6-8) excelled as a run blocker in the preseason and will provide the Packers with an in-line tight end to

develop. Given the Packers’ current roster of only three tight ends, he could be called upon early in the season.

According to Tom Silverstein of PackersNews.com, the Packers have signed offensive tackle Kadeem Telfort to their

practice squad.

Telfort, a huge (6-8, 322) rookie tackle, played 48 plays at left tackle this preseason. The Packers have increasingly

drawn towards large, long-armed tackles, and Telfort is the latest to emerge off the practice squad.

The Packers have signed safety Benny Sapp to their practice squad, according to Tom Silverstein of

PackersNews.com.

Sapp, an undrafted rookie from Northern Iowa, was the team’s third-highest graded defensive player during the

preseason, according to PFF, and recorded the game-winning interception in the last preseason game. Sapp is the

son of Benny Sapp II, who had eight seasons in the NFL from 2004 to 2011.
