SO SAD: Giant top player has confirmed knee injury..

The Giants have ruled rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt (hamstring) out for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor (thumb) returned in the second quarter.

Hyatt caught one ball for five yards and left in the first quarter.

He finished his debut season with 23 receptions for 373 yards and no touchdowns in 17 games.

Tyrod Taylor is questionable to return from a thumb injury, the Giants revealed in the first quarter of Week 18’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tommy DeVito succeeded Taylor as New York’s quarterback.

The Giants lead 3-0 heading into the second quarter.

Taylor completed 4-of-6 passes for 72 yards and added seven running yards on one carry.

DeVito completed his only pass attempt of the first quarter for five yards.

Jalin Hyatt, a rookie wide receiver, is also questionable to return.

The Giants right tackles, Evan Neal and Tyre Phillips, both had surgery this week, the organization revealed on Friday.

Dr. Robert Anderson performed a treatment on Neal on Tuesday after sustaining a slight fracture in his ankle in

Charlotte, North Carolina. Neal injured his ankle in early November in Las Vegas and was unable to return to play,

restricting the former first-round selection pick to just seven games in his second NFL season.

Phillips, who tore his quadriceps in Big Blue’s Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, had surgery on

Tuesday in New York City with Dr. Scott Rodeo.

The Giants will be without safety Jason Pinnock for Sunday’s season finale in New England, as head coach Brian

Daboll declared him out on Friday due to a toe injury. Daboll also stated that safety Dane Belton (personal) has

returned to practice and may play in Pinnock’s stead.

Rookie cornerback Deonte Banks (shoulder) is listed as doubtful after participating in only a limited amount of

practice this week.

Center John Michael Schmitz (shin) is currently uncertain, but there are some indications that he will be active.
