Tennessee football is preparing to meet the No. 14 Missouri Tigers in Columbia, Missouri, in a top-15 game this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
The Vols will be without a few players in the game, but none who have been starting on a consistent basis.
The prominent Vols who are out for the Missouri game are listed below.
Pili is missing his ninth game in a row, dating back to the season opening, while Karic is missing his second. Karic was out for several weeks before to the Kentucky game, then re-injured in Lexington, forcing him to miss last week.
Carter will miss his second consecutive game after skipping UConn last week. With Pili and Carter out, the Vols will rely on Kalib Perry and Jeremiah Telander to supplement starters Aaron Beasley and Elijah Herring at linebacker.
In Karic’s absence, Dayne Davis, Jackson Lampley, or Addison Nichols would be the next in line if Ollie Lane or Javontez Spraggins were injured.
Christian Charles has been out for quite some time due to an injury. Andre Turrentine and Jourdan Thomas will continue to provide backup for Wesley Walker and Jaylen McCollough at safety.
WR Bru McCoy, CB Kamal Hadden, and LB Kwauze (Pakk) Garland all miss the rest of the season due to season-ending injuries.
