“I am excited for this opportunity and grateful to Coach Moore,” Brown went on to say. “Having attended meetings and practices for the previous three seasons, I understand how we want to operate our special teams units, and I will assure we are an aggressive group capable of producing plays that set up our offense and defense for success. I can’t wait to get more involved with our players and to work on an exceptional set of spring practices.”

Moore’s formal remark conveyed a tangible faith in Brown.

“Coach Brown has an outstanding mind for special teams and knows how we want to attack that phase of the game,” he said. “He has been a crucial contributor in our special teams’ success, and he will help us maintain our position as leaders in this important aspect of the game. I’m pleased to retain J.B., his wife Jessica, and their family in Ann Arbor and involved with the Michigan Football program.”

Brown is Moore’s most recent hire, and he is in the midst of putting together his crew before spring ball. Moore has recently named Brown as special teams coordinator, Kirk Campbell as offensive coordinator, Grant Newsome as offensive line coach, Justin Tress as director of strength and conditioning, and, reportedly, Steve Casula as tight ends coach.
