The Baltimore Ravens are calling on the franchise’s best players to give the club and fans an extra lift ahead of their
AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
That’s what the Baltimore Ravens are doing on Sunday before of their AFC Championship game against the Kansas
City Chiefs. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Jonathan Ogden, former franchise stars, will take part in the pregame
festivities on Sunday.
Lewis and Reed, two of the best defensive players in NFL history, let alone Ravens history, will be the “Legends of
the Game,” with Ogden serving as an honorary captain.
Baltimore advanced to the AFC Championship Game with a 34-10 victory over the Houston Texans last weekend.
Sunday’s home game will be the franchise’s first championship game ever. It is the first conference championship for
Baltimore since the Colts moved there in 1971.
The Ravens will attempt to reach the Super Bowl for the first time since 2012, when Ogden, Reed, and Lewis each
won the franchise’s second championship. Ogden and Lewis were present for both championship victories (the 2000
Super Bowl).
Aside from the football players returning to the field, Baltimore’s own Michael Phelps, the greatest swimmer in
history, will deliver the game ball. T-Pain’s halftime concert appears to be the event’s grand finale.
In short, Baltimore is pulling out all the brakes to return to the Super Bowl and put an end to the Chiefs’ seeming
dynasty.
