Carrollton High School Corner.Shamar Arnoux was Tennessee’s first pledge for the 2025 class. The physical corner
paired up with two other Vols commits for his junior season, but has since transferred to his third high school.
Over
the weekend, he starred in Battle Miami, a 7-on-7 competition that drew several national players to Florida. Rivals’
John Garcia Jr. praised Arnoux as a standout amid a talented group of prospects. Arnoux also went to the University
of Miami over the weekend.
“Arnoux excelled all weekend with his C1N team. Arnoux excelled at coverage and is a highly physical cornerback.
Throughout his team’s title run, Arnoux was constantly making significant defensive plays. – Rivals’ John Garcia Jr.
on Shamar Arnoux during the Battle of Miami
Arnoux transferred to Carrollton High School for his senior season after playing for the Westlake Lions the previous
two years and the Milton Eagles the junior year. Westlake used a number of two-man ideas that required Arnoux to
play quarters coverage, a notion that Tennessee frequently employs. He also played man out of Cover-1 and Cover-2
looks, which is essential in the Vols’ scheme; given how swiftly they ran offensive plays, defenders must be prepared
to line up in a basic set and run identical concepts out of a few formations each game.
