The New York Giants have reported issues with their previous defensive coordinator. As a result, they parted
company with Wink Martindale this summer and are looking for a new defensive coordinator to replace him. The
Giants look to have found the right man to achieve just that.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the New York Giants plan to appoint Shane Bowen as their next defensive
coordinator. Bowen was previously the defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans from 2021 to 2023. Bowen
now appears to be ready to make a change, maybe bringing part of his coaching staff with him.
The Giants are hoping to rebound after a poor 2023 season. They went 6-11 after making the divisional round
playoffs the year before. They are now hoping that Bowen will help the coaching staff to communicate effectively in
the future.
