Patrick Mahomes’ quote about being a villain goes viral

The Kansas City Chiefs have rapidly become the club that everyone loves to despise, and Patrick Mahomes believes he is prepared to accept that role.

ESPN’s Jeff Darlington said on Monday that he recently questioned Mahomes if he believes he has become a villain to other NFL fans. Mahomes claimed he can “definitely sense it” and compared his present circumstance to when the New England Patriots were at their peak of dominance.

However, Mahomes stated that he thinks he and the Chiefs can play the bad guy role in a different way than Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the Patriots did.

Many supporters emphasized that the Chiefs have not become the NFL’s biggest villain solely because of their recent success. Many folks are sick of hearing about Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift and being forced to see the music icon during NFL games. That has almost certainly increased the number of people who want Mahomes to fail.

There was also the awkward moment Mahomes had with Josh Allen after Kansas City’s loss to the Buffalo Bills earlier this season (see the video here). Mahomes blew a rage over a costly penalty that was the correct judgment. That also irritated many people.

However, most Chiefs critics are simply bored of watching the same team win. You can understand why Mahomes is looking forward to the opportunity to irritate those football fans even more.
