According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Indianapolis Colts have hired former Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks

coach Alex Tanney to join their offensive staff.

Jake Rabadi of the Philadelphia sports site, The Liberty Line, stated earlier on Tuesday that this move was likely,

with formal reports and confirmations arriving later from Fowler:

According to James Boyd, a Colts beat reporter for The Athletic, Tanney will serve as the Colts’ passing game

coordinator this season:

Jake Rabadi on X: "Bumping this. There is officially a 0% chance he's gone, imo. I even think he'll get a good look at HC, should Sirianni get fired." / X

Following a dismal finish to the 2023 season, the Eagles made significant changes to their coaching staff, including

Tanney’s recent dismissal. Once he was stripped of his duties, there was conjecture that he may rejoin Colts head

coach Shane Steichen in Indianapolis.

Tanney spent the previous three seasons in Philadelphia and worked with Steichen, the team’s former offensive

coordinator, for two seasons (2021-2022). Tanney will now rejoin with him in Indianapolis.
