Super Bowl LVIII, between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, is set to begin Sunday night. As
always, sports gamblers are checking into every possible bet on the event. However, sometimes the most intriguing
bets are there in front of you. Read on to find out which bets you might regret.
An unidentified FanDuel Sportsbook insider spoke with Ben Fawkes. It revealed that the Chiefs hold 76% of the spread bets and 80% of the handle. At the time of writing, the 49ers were 2.5-point favorites on FanDuel and 2-point
favorites on most other sportsbooks. Despite the excessive wagers, the line has not moved in a week.
When it comes to the moneyline, the disparities are much more obvious. According to the same source, the Chiefs
moneyline receives roughly eight times more bets than the 49ers moneyline.
Some may argue that the 49ers are lucky to be here. To advance out of the NFC, they needed to defeat the Green Bay
Packers and the Detroit Lions. The 49ers scored the game-winning touchdown against the Packers with just over a
minute remaining. The 49ers secured the victory thanks to a crucial interception by Packers quarterback Jordan
Love.
The game versus the Lions was much scary for 49er fans. San Francisco trailed 24-7 at halftime before scoring 27
consecutive points. A stunning catch by 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk helped them gain momentum.
The fact is, they’ve had a couple close calls. Plus, they have to face the club who defeated them in the Super Bowl four
years ago.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the current NFL champions. This was their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years.
They are now aiming for their third Super Bowl championship in a row.
However, one could argue that the public expects QB Patrick Mahomes and his team to handle business. Despite
never having played a road playoff game in his career, Mahomes guided the Chiefs to two decisive victories over the
Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens to advance.
