The Detroit Lions are in relatively decent position on the injury front heading into Week 12. Their Thanksgiving opponent, the Green Bay Packers, is not as fortunate.
The Packers had a detailed final injury report. Two important starters, running back Aaron Jones and safety Darnell Savage, have been ruled out with injuries. However, the challenges do not end there.
Another running back, Emmanuel Wilson, was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday. Without Jones, he would have been the second-best running back. Luke Musgrave, a rookie tight end, was also sent to the emergency room with a lacerated kidney. Musgrave is second on the club in receptions, while Jones is seventh, despite being Green Bay’s primary rushing option when healthy.
Primary blocking TE Josiah Deguara, who plays approximately 25% of the Packers’ offensive snaps, is listed as doubtful due to a hip issue. As with the Lions, no player who was rated as doubtful has appeared for Green Bay this season.
A.J. Dillon, the team’s leading rusher, is questionable with a groin issue. He’s one of five Packers who received the dubious designation:
Except for Wicks, who has emerged as Green Bay’s top deep threat in recent weeks, all are essential starters.
