Following the Super Bowl, Green Bay Packers standout offensive tackle David Bakhtiari responded to a joke made by
President Joe Biden. Biden tweeted that the Kansas City Chiefs’ overtime win in the Super Bowl occurred just as he
“drew it up” with the NFL.
Biden was referring to a widely held belief among conservatives that the NFL conspired with the government to back
up Taylor Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship. The league planned to encourage the Chiefs to win
the Super Bowl so Swift could endorse Biden in the 2024 election.
Some fans may not think Biden’s quip humorous. On Sunday night, several irate fans tweeted that they believed the
Super Bowl was rigged in favor of the Chiefs.
I agree with Bakhtiari. It was refreshing to see the NFL let the players to decide the game on the field, rather than
nitpicking infractions that had no bearing on the outcome of a play.
