San Francisco cut offensive lineman Matt Pryor on Monday before their game against the Ravens, while wide

receiver Willie Snead IV was upgraded to the active roster.

Snead has been waived, a practice squad player has been released, and Pryor is likely to return alongside a free

agency defensive tackle who will sign before Week 17.

Here’s how the roster moves played out:

San Francisco dismissed Snead on Tuesday, after promoting him to the active roster on Monday. He took 25 offensive snaps and caught one of two targets for five yards. If he clears waivers, he is likely to sign with the 49ers practice squad again.

Stallworth signed with the 49ers’ practice squad before to Week 16, but was released before Week 17. San Francisco

still has interior defensive line difficulties, but a reported free agent addition, combined with Javon Hargrave’s

return, made Stallworth expendable.

Joseph-Day was released prior to Week 16 after starting 30 games for the Chargers over the previous two seasons.

Jason McCourty of NFL Media reports that he is slated to sign with the 49ers. Matt Barrows from the Athletic

confirmed the signing.

Joseph-Day will provide the 49ers with a starting-caliber defensive tackle to complement Hargrave while Arik

Armstead recovers from knee and foot ailments. He has 11.0 sacks and 21 tackles for loss in 69 games (68 starts)

across his career, which includes three seasons with the Rams and two with the Chargers.
