The Falcons received excellent news Friday regarding important linemen who have been dealing with lower body ailments over the last few weeks.
Starting offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom (ankle), Drew Dalman (ankle), and Jake Matthews (knee) did not get a game designation on Friday’s game report, indicating that they will be available for the Falcons’ home game against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday. All three took full part in Friday’s practice for the first time this week, as did fellow offensive tackle Ryan Neuzil and defensive lineman Calais Campbell, who were also listed as sick this week.
Bud Dupree (back), Kaleb McGary (knee), and David Onyemata (ankle) were all listed as questionable for the game on Sunday.
Though McGary and Onyemata had been inactive the last couple games due to their various injuries, they were both limited participants in Friday’s last practice.
Keith Smith, who has an ankle injury, is the only other player that has been designated for the game. The veteran fullback participated fully in Wednesday and Thursday practices, but did not practice on Friday and was labeled as doubtful on the game report.
In other news, punter Bradley Pinion did not attend his second session this week due to a personal problem. The Falcons added punter Pat O’Donnell to their practice squad on Friday. Pinion and his wife, Kaeleigh, are expecting their first child this winter. Arthur Smith confirmed that she went into labor this week, but the Falcons expect Pinion to be available for Sunday’s game.
