City Chiefs in Las Vegas on Sunday, but he is also doing so only weeks before becoming a father for the first time.

Sydney Warner (née Highwater), the linebacker’s wife, will be 35 weeks pregnant during Sunday’s game. Sydney tells
PEOPLE about the exciting times ahead for the growing Warner family.
The 28-year-old expectant mother reveals she was “initially scared” but has had a “incredible” pregnancy thus far.
“I have been so fortunate to have such a wonderful pregnancy. “I had a completely different perspective on it from
the start,” she says. “The first and second trimesters were a breeze. I was in absolute pregnant bliss. This last
trimester is a little more difficult, but I’m getting by. I’m pleasantly surprised by my experience.
Sydney has been following the team throughout the season, stating that the latest games have been “chaotic.”
“I just take things a little slower,” she explains. “I don’t jump as high and try not to yell as loudly. I do not want to do
anything too extreme. I learnt to pace myself. And I adore seeing all of the fans who are eager to talk to me about
baby Warner. It’s very sweet.”
Sydney is delighted to travel to Vegas, telling PEOPLE that she has been cleared to fly there on the hour-long flight
from the Bay Area.
When the club appeared to be on its way to the playoffs, the expectant mother brought up the matter with her doctor.
