Marlon Humphrey, the Baltimore Ravens’ cornerback, returned to practice for the first time in January. Del’Shawn
Phillips, a linebacker, also returned to the field.
While several key players returned to the Ravens, offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler (quad/knee) and wide receiver
Tylan Wallace (knee) did not practice today.
Zeitler appeared to be injured at the end of the Divisional round playoff game against the Houston Texans. The
injury’s seriousness is currently unknown. He had a small limp following the game on Saturday.
Humphrey’s return to the lineup gives the Ravens another viable option in the slot against tight end Travis Kelce.
Humphrey has previously been one of the NFL’s top slot cornerback defenders. The Ravens, however, have not
employed him there since the emergence of safety Kyle Hamilton. Humphrey has only played 26 snaps in the slot
this season. Compare that to last season, when he played 168 snaps. Prior to Hamilton’s acquisition two seasons
earlier, Humphrey played 204 snaps (27.3%) of the 2021 season inside the slot.
The Baltimore Ravens have issued their entire injury report. The article states that Zeitler’s absence is not due to an
injury. He was given a rest day.
