Welcome to the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. Players are on their way to Saint Vincent College for four weeks of

training before the start of the 2023 season.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Mason Rudolph proves he was the solution all along in Week 17 victory

During camp, the Steelers will be watching a variety of position battles, including RB3, wide receiver placement,

cornerback, safety, and some defensive line problems.

Latrobe always provides plenty of excitement, and with this year’s group looking promising on paper, the Steelers

should not disappoint at camp.

Looking ahead, when this squad packs up and returns to the city for Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, their

53-man roster should look like this…

Tanner Morgan would have been a lovely tale, but with Mason Rudolph’s return, the Steelers’ quarterback room is

very much resolved.

The Steelers’ running back three competition will be intriguing. Anthony McFarland undoubtedly has the advantage

entering into camp, and he has everything he needs to keep the job by the conclusion. However, with undrafted

youngsters Alfonzo Graham and Darius Hagans circling him, the battle will be intense.

Even though Monte Patenbaum is technically the lone fullback on the roster, the Steelers will use Connor Heyward

in this role.

The top four are set going into training camp, but the battle for the final two spots is intense. XFL star Hakeem

Butler is aiming to return to an NFL club, while Ja’Marcus Bradley and Dez Fitzpatrick are hoping to stay in

Pittsburgh this season. With an electrifying UDFA in Jordan Byrd, this is as good a contest as it gets.
