Andy Reid is the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and is widely considered as one of the most successful NFL
coaches in history.
He is credited for completely turning around the football franchise. He coached the Chiefs to Super Bowl triumphs in
2020, 2023, and, most recently, 2024, when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.
“I got the greatest coach this game has ever seen,” declared Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce following the 2024 Super
Bowl. “He’s unbelievable at not only dialing up plays and having everybody prepared, but he’s one of the best leaders
of men that I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Before managing the Chiefs, Andy Reid was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 to 2012.
He was also an aspiring sportswriter, and in 2017, he told The Kansas City Star that the profession made sense for
him while in college. Reid went on to say, “There’s a point in college where you’re not exactly sure what direction
you’re going, but I always thought it would be fun to write for Sports Illustrated.”
In addition to coaching football, Reid is a father of five children. Ahead to the 2024 Super Bowl, he spoke about how
family and faith, in addition to football, were his priorities.
