Mitchell (5-11, 191) was initially selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round (254th overall) of the 2014 NFL
Draft. During his eight-year NFL career with the Cowboys (2014-15), Chicago Bears (2015), Kansas City Chiefs
(2016-17), Cleveland Browns (2018-20), Houston Texans (2021), and Tennessee Titans (2022), he appeared in 94
games (56 starts) and recorded 305 tackles, one sack, 63 passes defensed, nine interceptions, ten forced fumbles,
and one fumble recovery. Mitchell has also appeared in four postseason games (three starts), recording 14 tackles
and one pass defensed.
On July 26, 2023, Mitchell signed a one-year contract with the 49ers and was released on August 9.
Mitchell, a 31-year-old product of Sacramento, California, played 40 games (38 starts) at the University of Oregon
from 2010 to 2013, recording 144 tackles, seven interceptions, 25 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, and one
fumble recovery.
Okuayinonu (6-1, 269) began his NFL career on May 13, 2022, when he signed as an undrafted free agent with the
Tennessee Titans. During his two-year NFL career with the Tennessee Titans (2022-23), he appeared in six games
and recorded 11 tackles and 0.5 sacks while on the active roster and practice squad. On January 10, 2023,
Okuayinonu signed a Reserve/Future deal with Tennessee, however the team terminated him on August 31.
Okuayinonu, a 25-year-old product of Lowell, MA, played 29 games at the University of Maryland (2019-21), totaling 103 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
Hawkins (6-1, 205) was originally signed to the team’s practice squad on October 24 and started one game, recording
four tackles, one pass defensed, and his first career interception.
Verrett (5-10, 188) was named to the team’s practice squad on December 12 and has featured in one game this
season.
