The Steelers signed 17 players to Reserve/Future contracts today, many of whom were on the team’s practice squad
in 2023.
The complete list of those who signed is shown below.
Luq Barcoo, a cornerback, was signed to a one-year contract this summer and joined the practice squad before the
start of the regular season. He had played for the XFL’s San Antonio Brahmas before joining the Steelers. He
concluded the season with 31 tackles, an interception, and a sack. Barcoo was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as
an undrafted rookie free agent after the 2020 NFL draft. He appeared in three games, starting one, and recorded 10
tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass defensed. He also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco
49ers, and Kansas City Chiefs, although he did not play for any of them. Barcoo spent two years at San Diego State.
Offensive tackle Tyler Beach signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft.
Beach attended the University of Wisconsin and played 57 games for the Badgers over five seasons. In 2022, he
appeared in 11 games, starting nine. He started six games at left guard and three at tight end as an extra blocker,
allowing only one sack, according to Pro Football Focus. He was named to the 2021 All-Big Ten third team by
coaches and honorable mention by the media. In 2020, he was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention.
