Throughout the summer, Jim Harbaugh has essentially been his own news cycle. In the last several months, he has
organized camps, riled up other coaches, pursued the king of college football, and found time for a world tour.
Harbaugh made headlines for another reason over the weekend: his wife is pregnant. The Michigan coach conveyed
the news in a typical Jim Harbaugh fashion.
I have to say, as aggravating as the never-ending Harbaugh news cycle has been this summer (and it has become
annoying at times), this is very amazing news, and Harbaugh deserves respect for maintaining in character when
making the announcement. After all, it wouldn’t be a genuine baby announcement if he didn’t include the phrase,
“attacking this pregnancy with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.”
For those keeping track at home, this will be Harbaugh’s seventh child overall, his fourth with second wife Sarah.
One of those children is current Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh, who seemed to be pleased with the latest
addition to the Harbaugh family.
