This week’s Week 14 O-Zone Podcast featured Allen, the Jaguars’ starting outside linebacker who is on track to

establish a franchise single-season record for sacks. He discussed a variety of issues, including his pursuit of the

single-season sacks record.

Allen now has a career high 13.5 sacks, one shy of Calais Campbell’s record of 14.5 sacks established in 2017.

“It’s a legacy,” Allen explained. “I hope to leave a legacy wherever I go. I have a fantastic opportunity to do things

that have not been done here in a long time. That means going out there and having fun while playing for one

another. Every moment I’ve had wasn’t due of me. It’s a group of 11 guys working together.”

Allen also chuckled while discussing the idea that he is having his finest year since he is in the final year of his rookie

contract.

“You hear people say, ‘They’re doing well because it’s a contract year,'” Allen explained. “I don’t buy into that

mentality. I’m figuring things out. I have worked hard to figure things out. For me, I’ve discovered a solution that

works. I figured out my process. If I could have done it last year, I would have done so.
