Logan Ryan, the San Francisco 49ers’ newest safety, has had a hectic few days, from spending Thanksgiving on a trip to the Bahamas
to packing up and traveling to the Bay. The two-time Super Bowl winner hadn’t officially retired from the NFL, but he hadn’t played a
single snap with a team in 2023 before San Francisco called him.
Former San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould announced his retirement on Thursday morning with a well written post in The
Player’s Tribune, officially ending his career. Gould spent the final six seasons of his 18-year playing career in the Bay Area, finishing
with a perfect playoff kicking record (29-for-29 FGA and 39-for-39 PATs) and ranking No. 10 on the NFL’s all-time scoring list with
1,961 points. He finished as the 49ers’ fourth all-time leading scorer with 704 points and second in field goals made (161).
The San Francisco 49ers have signed running back Tyrion Davis-Price to their practice squad and released wide receiver Isaiah
Winstead.
Davis-Price (6-1, 219) was originally selected by the 49ers in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. Throughout his
career, he has featured in seven games for the team and has 40 carries for 120 yards. In 2023, he played one game and had six carries
for 21 yards before being dismissed by the organization on December 5, 2023.
The San Francisco 49ers will meet their NFC West foe, the Seattle Seahawks, for the second time in three weeks, coming off an epic
42-19 victory over the NFC-leading Philadelphia Eagles. The 49ers’ victory streak now stands at four games in a row, and while the
team is on a roll, they’re making an extra effort to stay hungry throughout their postseason drive.
