JUST NOW: Ike Taylor makes his pitch for Pittsburgh as the host city for a future NFL Draft.

Former 12-year Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Ike Taylor, who won two Super Bowls with the team, took to his Bleav in Steelers

podcast and (we believe convincingly) made the case for Pittsburgh as a viable location for the 2026 or ’27 NFL draft, following news

that the Steelers had bid to host the event.

Steelers WR George Pickens perfectly summarizes the attitude of this team - Yahoo Sports

Taylor was picked as the 125th pick out of Louisiana-Lafayette in 2003. Throughout his career, he recorded 636 total tackles, 134 pass

deflections, 14 interceptions, five fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and one defensive score.

Harris and Blitzer Near Steelers Stake Sale to Art Rooney and Tull.

Josh Harris and David Blitzer are in advanced talks to sell their minority investment in the Pittsburgh Steelers to an existing investor

group led by Art Rooney and Thomas Tull, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The sale, which requires National Football League clearance, could be completed in the coming months, according to the sources, all of

whom asked to remain anonymous because they were discussing proprietary information. Financial terminology could not be learned

promptly.

According to Bloomberg News, Harris and Blitzer purchased less than a 5% ownership in the Steelers in 2020. According to NFL

regulations, a majority owner cannot hold a stake in another organization. Harris bought the Washington Commanders for $6 billion

last year.

Tull, Rooney, the Steelers, and the NFL did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A spokesperson for Harris and Blitzer

declined to comment. Harris co-founded Apollo Global Management and has signed a series of sports transactions with Blitzer, a

Blackstone Group executive, including joint ownership of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils, as well as a stake in Crystal Palace Football Club.

NFL valuations have been rising, pushing billionaire Stephen Ross to pursue a stake sale in the Miami Dolphins, which might set a

record.

Tull, a long-time Steelers supporter and co-owner since 2009, has been looking to boost his investment, Bloomberg News reported

last year. Rooney is a member of the Steelers’ founding family, which traces back to 1933.

Tull, who has a net worth of approximately $3 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, solidified his fortune by selling

Legendary Pictures, the production business behind blockbusters such as The Hangover and the Dark Knight. He has subsequently

started making tech bets, financing startups like Lambda and Shield AI.
