Kittle missed all of practice last week due to a toe injury, and there were evident concerns that one of the 49ers’ top playmakers
would miss the Super Bowl. Kittle, on the other hand, was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday’s injury report, which is a
good sign that things are improving.
Furthermore, Kittle and Kyle Shanahan spoke with the media earlier this week, and both expressed confidence that the All-Pro tight
end would suit up for the 49ers on Sunday.
Armstead missed practice last week, as did Kittle. Unlike Kittle, Armstead has suffered several knee and foot problems. Despite
suiting up for practice on Wednesday, he did not attend Thursday or Friday practices. The good news for the 49ers is that Armstead
was a restricted participant in practice on Wednesday and might return to full practice in the coming days. If he does, it will increase
his chances of starting for the 49ers.
Burks was restricted in last week’s practice after missing both of the 49ers’ playoff games due to a neck issue. The former Packers
linebacker has been a key depth component for the 49ers this season, but he may be rusty after missing the previous two games.
Burks was still designated as a limited participant on Wednesday, though. It’s an indication that he, too, may be on the right track.
