According to reports, Manchester United are totally committed to signing Michael Olise, whose release clause and

new contract at Crystal Palace will not hinder his dream move to Old Trafford.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s half takeover is causing significant changes at Old Trafford. United are anticipated to take a more

data-driven approach to transfers, and Erik ten Hag’s influence over who is signed will be reduced.

However, according to reporter Ben Jacobs, Ten Hag’s diminished role will not hinder the Dutchman from signing

crucial target Olise.

Speaking with GiveMeSport, Jacobs indicated that Olise is not just a target for Ten Hag and the pre-Ratcliffe

administration, but also for the new co-owner and his INEOS executives.

Last summer, Chelsea activated Olise’s release clause, which is believed to be worth £35 million. However, the

electrifying winger turned down the opportunity to join the Blues and promptly signed a new contract with Palace.

Olise’s release clause was raised as part of the amended deal. The exact number it has been upgraded to is a carefully

kept secret, but GiveMeSport estimates it is worth over £60 million.

According to Jacobs, Ratcliffe is anticipated to back Man United’s pre-existing plans to sign Olise in the summer.

Furthermore, Jacobs confirmed Football London’s previous claims that Manchester United was Olise’s favored next club.

“Even though Olise signed a new contract in the aftermath of Chelsea failing to trigger his complicated release

clause, there is absolutely no doubt that he is a potential 2024 departure,” Jacobs stated.

“Manchester United’s previous regime, prior to INEOS, adored Olise, and the thought of a relocation to Old Trafford

entices him as well.

“All indications are that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS will support that move because, as part of their due diligence

when joining the football club, they were aware of any historical transfer plans for January – even if nothing

materialised – as well as any window planning for the summer.

“There is continuity between Manchester United’s present recruitment team and what INEOS does. They prefer a

profile like Olise, so he may be considered a concrete target ahead of the summer.
