Brock Purdy gave a brief but direct remark following the San Francisco 49ers’ Super Bowl LVIII loss to the Kansas
City Chiefs.
The second-year quarterback kept quiet following the title game, but it appears that he is eager to begin preparations
for next season.
After playing like the best team in the NFL all season, the 49ers arrived in Las Vegas determined to exact revenge on
the Chiefs and win the Super Bowl for the first time in 29 years.
Everything appeared to be in order for them until the Chiefs stated differently.
Led by Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs rallied to defeat the 49ers in spectacular manner, winning the game and the
championship in the closing seconds of overtime.
Following the game, many players were devastated, including Purdy, who had arguably the finest game of that
postseason run. The Niners came a long distance, but the Chiefs won the game and the Lombardi Trophy thanks to
small things
Deebo Samuel also reminisced on the loss, recalling all of the plays that stood out to him after losing the big game.
Last season, the 49ers were on track to dethrone the Chiefs, but things began to unravel. They’re now preparing for a
new league season, with some difficult decisions to make about some of their players.
Purdy proved that he belongs in the NFL this season. Next season, he’ll be hungry to win the league and finally defeat
the Chiefs.
