In 2024, the Green Bay Packers’ defense will almost probably look different. A new defensive coordinator, defensive
passing game coordinator, and defensive line coach will undoubtedly cause some alterations. However, defensive
lineman Kenny Clark will undoubtedly continue to serve as the defensive line’s focal point.
Clark has emerged as a leader on the Packers and a player who many like. Clark, on the other hand, clearly respects
his coaching staff. Specifically, Matt LaFleur.
Matt Ramage to talk Packers. He made a pretty eye opening remark about head coach Matt LaFleursaid since came
to Green Bay he made them a closer team.
Five years ago, LaFleur had hardly gotten into his Wisconsin home when worries arose about how he would get along
with Rodgers. How will “the audible thing” work? Who is actually in control of the offense?
Despite spending the whole offseason answering that question, his debut season on the field screamed loudly. In
addition to finishing 13-3, Green Bay advanced to the NFC Championship.
LaFleur may have felt that having one year under his belt would make his second year different, allowing him to
focus solely on football and enjoy a normal offseason and season. Things looked promising in Green Bay, where he
and Rodgers collaborated nicely.
A month or two before the NFL Draft, the COVID-19 outbreak struck and changed everything. How will the league
manage its first major event following the Super Bowl? Will there even be a regular season? The questions were valid
four years ago, but it’s strange to think about them today.
LaFleur went on to play 13 games in each of his first three seasons. While the Packers did not make the Super Bowl,
it was evident that LaFleur was a successful hire.
As the Packers went 8-9 in 2022 with an injection of youngsters at receiver, LaFleur and the Packers understood
there was going to be a split between the squad and Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers announced in March that he would play
again, but for the New York Jets, and requested a trade, which did not occur until days before the NFL draft.
The club had a difficult start in 2023, but they recovered and won seven of their last 10 games. This includes a playoff
berth, a dominant Wild Card win against the Dallas Cowboys, and three points.
