The Spice Girls actress, 51, has been humiliated when a cache of intimate emails between the Formula One chief and
a female worker were published just a day after he was absolved of wrongdoing.
According to sources close to Geri, she was “relieved and elated” when the case against her Red Bull Racing head
spouse Horner was dropped on Wednesday.
Ginger Spice Geri underwent three weeks of anguish, during which she was reported to have stood by her man after
being left in “floods of tears” when the scandal surfaced.
According to insiders, Geri even begged Horner to “make it go away”, according to the Mail.
Now the singer has been left “extremely humiliated” just a day after believing Horner, whom she married in 2015,
was safe.
Friends of the pair claim their marriage is “now in question for the first time” after a romantic text exchange between
Horner and a female staffer was revealed.
Friends of Geri fear that the latest revelation would “destroy” the mother of two, who shares seven-year-old son
Monty with Horner.
One friend told the Mail, “It’s all come crashing down.”
“When the judgment came in on Wednesday, the weeping stopped, but they will undoubtedly resume. This will
destroy her.
“All along Christian promised there was nothing in it.”
The pair was said to have been in long-distance chats as aides tried to handle the problem.
It was unclear whether Geri had been shown any of the communications prior to their distribution.
Team Principal Horner was in Bahrain when the communications were revealed on Thursday, and he was seen
during training today.
He flew to the Gulf kingdom on Wednesday before being exonerated of guilt following accusations of inappropriate
behavior and sending inappropriate communications.
Geri, meanwhile, was back in the UK but was expected to fly away before the weekend.
Hundreds of WhatsApp messages were sent to Formula One teams and media outlets yesterday.
While the messages do not appear to contain any explicit photographs, some of them are sexually provocative in
nature.
Messages appeared to indicate that Horner pestered the woman for images.
According to the WhatsApp dossier, the woman, who works with Horner at the all-conquering grand prix team’s
Milton Keynes headquarters, appears to be bored of her boss’s requests for images and steamy talk.
