One of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ players won’t be allowed to go in free agency.
ESPN said on Thursday night that nose tackle Montravius Adams, who wants to rejoin the Steelers, has agreed to a
two-year contract. On Wednesday, he became a free agent without restrictions.
After being cut by the New Orleans Saints late in the 2021 season, Adams, 28, joined with the Steelers and has played
for them for more than two seasons.
Adams, a situational defender along the line who started eight of the 13 games he played in last season, played 48%
of the defensive snaps. He recorded 24 tackles, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup. Last season, he split time
at nose tackle with rookie Keeanu Benton, a second-round selection.
Adams has started eight games in his 35 career with the Steelers.
