Ronnie O’Sullivan is widely recognized as one of the best snooker players of all time. But who is Laila Rouass, and
are they married?
Ronnie O’Sullivan is the current world champion, having won it for the sixth time in 2020. He also holds the record
for the most Masters victories and UK championships. Laila Rouass, the snooker star’s partner, routinely cheers him
on.
Rouass, a 49-year-old actress from London, has appeared in shows such as Footballers’ Wives and Holby City.
She has also acted in the films The Four Feathers, The Hunt Feast, and Shoot on Sight, as well as competing in the
2009 season of Strictly Come Dancing, finishing fourth.
The actress and Abdeslam Rouass were married from 1990 until their divorce in 2003.
Rouass then met O’Sullivan in 2012, and the couple became engaged the next year.
She stated that she met the snooker player when house-hunting and ended up inspecting his home.
“It happened on accident. “I was shown around Ronnie’s house by his father, who informed his son about meeting
me,” Rouass told the Irish Times.
“Ronnie called my estate agent, a friend, and asked me out through her.
“When she mentioned he was a snooker player, I asked, ‘Yeah, but what does he do for a living?'”
“I’d never heard of him because sport doesn’t interest me at all, although Ronnie’s won me over to snooker.”
Despite their long-term engagement, the pair has yet to marry the knot and has no urgent plans.
