An Open Letter from Ken Roczen to Supercross, Motocross Fans, and the Entire Motocross Community
Dear Supercross and Motocross Fans, Riders, and Enthusiasts,
I hope this letter finds you well and full of excitement for the future of our sport. As I take a moment to reflect on my journey in Supercross and Motocross, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported me throughout the years. Whether you’ve been with me from the very beginning or you’ve just recently joined the community, your unwavering passion has been a driving force behind everything I do.
From the first time I threw a leg over a bike to my experiences in the toughest races in the world, Motocross and Supercross have always been more than just a sport to me. It’s a way of life—a bond that ties us all together, whether we’re on the track or cheering from the stands. The adrenaline, the challenges, the triumphs, and even the setbacks—it’s all part of the journey we share. And that journey is something that I will never take for granted.
In the years I’ve spent competing, I’ve learned more than just how to ride a motorcycle fast. I’ve learned the true meaning of resilience. Every race has presented its own set of challenges, and it’s those challenges that have shaped me into the person I am today. Overcoming injuries, setbacks, and doubt has been a part of my path, but each time, the support of you—the fans—has been a constant reminder that I am not alone in this journey.
Motocross is a sport that demands everything from us—physically, mentally, and emotionally. There are days when the grind is almost too much to bear, and yet, knowing that there’s a community of fans and fellow riders who understand and appreciate the sacrifices we make, makes it all worth it. Your cheers, your encouragement, your love for the sport, fuel us in ways that words can’t fully describe. Whether you’re watching from the stands, tuning in from home, or following on social media, your energy is felt every lap of every race.
To the riders—past, present, and future—this sport has a unique way of teaching you about life. You learn about focus, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness. But you also learn humility, teamwork, and the importance of respecting the journey, not just the destination. The bond we share as competitors is built on mutual respect, and that respect for the sport, the bike, and the fans is what makes our community so special.
As I look to the future, I want to continue to give everything I have to this sport. I want to continue fighting, to continue growing, and to continue inspiring the next generation of riders. It’s not about the wins or the podiums, though they are important. It’s about the love for the sport, the drive to push limits, and the desire to keep evolving.
To all the fans who’ve been there for me through thick and thin—thank you. Your support has been everything, and I am proud to represent you on the track. To my fellow riders, thank you for challenging me, inspiring me, and pushing me to be better. To the entire Motocross and Supercross community, thank you for creating an environment where passion, determination, and the pursuit of excellence can thrive.
Here’s to the next chapter—whatever it may bring. Together, we’ll keep pushing the limits of what’s possible.
With gratitude,
Ken Roczen
