An Open Letter from Courtland Sutton to Riley Leonard, Fans, and the Entire Denver Broncos Community
Dear Riley, Broncos Fans, and the Entire Broncos Community,
I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As I sit here reflecting on the journey we’ve all been on together as members of this incredible Denver Broncos family, I feel a deep sense of gratitude. It’s an honor to represent this organization, this city, and each one of you who support us, day in and day out.
To Riley, I want to personally welcome you to the Denver Broncos. Your journey here is just beginning, and I know it’s one that will be filled with challenges, triumphs, and moments that will define your career in ways you might not even realize yet. I’ve been in your shoes, arriving to a new team with high hopes and a lot of work ahead of me. But know this: the path to success in this league is never easy, and it’s not just about talent—it’s about determination, resilience, and most importantly, the people you surround yourself with. The Broncos family has a deep-rooted history of supporting one another, and I believe you will fit right in.
Riley, you’ve earned this opportunity through your hard work and dedication. But as you continue to put in the work, always remember that you’re not alone. You have a community of coaches, teammates, and fans who have your back, every step of the way. This city, this team—they’re behind you, and I’ve seen firsthand the kind of impact you can have when you stay focused, stay humble, and keep grinding. Denver is a city that thrives on passion, and we expect nothing less than the best from each of us. But, in turn, we give everything we have to each other. That’s the bond we share.
To the fans, thank you. Your unwavering support fuels everything we do on the field. Whether you’re tailgating in the parking lot before the game, cheering us on from the stands, or sending us your well wishes on social media, you make this experience something special. You hold us accountable, and you inspire us to be our best. The energy you bring, whether we’re winning or fighting through adversity, is a constant reminder of why we play the game.
There’s an undeniable connection between this team and its fans, a bond that can never be broken. It’s the reason we fight for every inch, for every touchdown, for every victory. We do it for you. Every practice, every game, we know that the eyes of a passionate fanbase are on us, and we carry that responsibility with pride. But it’s not just about wins and losses—it’s about heart, it’s about grit, and it’s about bringing the best version of ourselves to each and every game.
This season, like every season before it, has brought us both challenges and triumphs. We’ve faced adversity, but it’s through adversity that we grow. We come together as a team, and we lean on each other. That’s how we will get better—by working together, one step at a time, with the goal of returning this team to the elite status we know it can achieve. Our commitment to you, the fans, is unwavering. We will continue to fight for you, to make you proud, and to ensure that you feel every ounce of the effort we give out there.
To the Broncos community—players, coaches, staff, and fans alike—let’s continue to rise together. We are a family, and we will not stop until we’re back at the top, where we belong.
Riley, we’re excited to have you with us. The journey won’t always be easy, but with the support of this great city and this incredible team, there’s nothing we can’t achieve. Together, we are stronger.
Thank you for everything, Denver. Let’s go Broncos!
With gratitude and determination,
Courtland Sutton
