A private island in Palm Beach has the potential to become the most expensive residence ever sold in Florida if its asking price of $218<\/p>\n

Developer Todd Michael Glaser and his partners paid $85 million for 10 Tarpon Isle, Palm Beach’s sole private island, in 2021. They<\/p>\n

built a totally new house, converted the existing structure into a guest house, and installed a large pool, tennis courts, and other<\/p>\n

amenities before relisting the property.<\/p>\n

“I paid $85 million without a hesitation because there’s only one of them,” he stated. “You watch art; they sell. A Mercedes 300 SLR<\/p>\n

recently sold for $142 million. That’s what this is… it’s one of a kind.”<\/p>\n

When Glaser purchased Tarpon Isle, it contained a modest 1940s house with plenty of potential.<\/p>\n

“I came over the bridge, I saw the two trees and I said, ‘Guys, let’s knock down the garage and the guest house and the maid’s quarters<\/p>\n

and let’s build a brand new house,'” Mr. Glaser recalled.<\/p>\n

The new main residence measures over 9,000 square feet. With the guest house, tennis pavilion, and other structures, the property<\/p>\n

now boasts more than 21,000 square feet of living area. There are 11 bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms, and seven half baths.<\/p>\n

Tarpon Isle, unlike many Palm Beach houses, is a study in modern simplicity, with sweeping water vistas on all four sides.<\/p>\n

The master bedroom suite includes a huge number of closets, baths, and sitting places. The biggest of the two bathrooms is a temple of<\/p>\n

white Italian marble that covers the flooring, counters, ceiling, and enormous shower. A huge soaking tub in front of the windows<\/p>\n
