Michigan, the top NIL program, hires a new head coach…

Sherrone Moore will take over as head coach of the Michigan football team, succeeding Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh accepted the Los Angeles Chargers’ position earlier this week. Moore served as interim head coach when Harbaugh was suspended for four games.

Moore finished 4-0 as interim head coach, including two of the season’s biggest wins over Penn State and Ohio State. A loss against either of those teams would have undoubtedly marked the end of Michigan’s national championship run.

Moore’s contract is for five years and includes a $500,000 base salary and $5 million in bonus compensation in year one, according to ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren.

Michigan will go through an intriguing moment here, as do all schools after losing a famous head coach. However, with the money they earned by winning the National Championship and a highly rated NIL program, prospects will continue to travel to Michigan to compete for a National Championship.

Michigan’s recruiting class is ranked 16th, according to 247Sports. They do not have a five-star recruit, but do have 18 four-stars. The school trails Penn State and Ohio State.

Moore and the Michigan staff will be responsible for keeping current players and identifying new talent through the transfer portal once Harbaugh goes. With no money to give away and the opportunity to participate, Michigan is once again one of the best destinations to play next season.

It will be a different season than in previous years, but expect the Wolverines to load up.
