Blake Griffin, a former Los Angeles Clippers player, spent last season with the Boston Celtics, where he excelled as a
dynamic big man and team leader off the bench. While Griffin is no longer a top player, he made big contributions to
Boston both on and off the court last year.

During a recent episode of Pardon My Take, Celtics guards Payton Pritchard and Derrick White revealed that they
had been lobbying Griffin to join the team.
Griffin, a free agent, has been residing in Los Angeles with his family, who are his first priority right now. When
asked about this, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla stated Griffin told him at the end of last season that his family was
his top priority, which is why he chose not to re-sign with Boston.
Griffin does not appear to have ruled out a return to the NBA, but for the time being, he is putting his family and
children ahead of another chance at a championship. The Celtics would love to have Griffin back, and while it is still
technically possible, it appears unlikely that Griffin will return to the NBA this season.
Griffin’s old teammates’ overwhelming support demonstrates the type of player and person he is, and he has a spot
in Boston if he wants it.
