This year, legendary University of Alabama coach Nick Saban is focusing on more than just his athletes’ summer
training camps. According to a claim from Front Office Sports, which was later validated by real estate news outlet
The Real Deal, the highest-paid coach in college football recently made a significant investment in Florida. Saban
paid $17.5 million for a seaside mansion on Jupiter Island.
The mansion was purchased in May, after the home’s asking price dropped significantly from its initial $21.5 million.
Saban is the latest sports icon to call Jupiter Island home. Texas Rangers pitcher Max Scherzer and golfer Tiger
Woods already have houses on the island.
The property’s outdoor space, which has 150 feet of ocean beachfront, is a vacationer’s dream.
“Nestled in between are private landscaped tropical gardens with specimen trees and rare plantings,” states the
listing. ‘Two outdoor kitchens/grills complete the ideal entertaining and relaxing experience. It’s truly an uncommon
find.
Saban’s Florida property spans 6,200 square feet and includes six bedrooms, four baths, one half bath, and a guest
suite with its own private door. The estate also has a three-car garage, a private dock with a 40,000-pound boat lift, a
home generator, and an irrigation system using reverse osmosis water.
Nick Saban has a net worth of approximately $70 million and has typically earned above-average income as a college
football coach. Saban regained his title as college football’s highest-paid coach this year when the University of
Alabama Board of Trustees’ pay committee authorized a one-year contract extension. Saban is expected to make
more than $90 million over the next eight years, thanks to a contract that runs until 2029.
